SOLPOLL HEREFORDS

The above females have been sold to John Little Farmers, Reydon Herefords, Essex. ‘C11’ has always stood out from the group displaying exceptional growth and power from an early age. She was a class winner at the National 2007 and is sired by ‘Vindicator’. Her dam ‘Starlet V13’ is a prolific breeder; her first calf was Calf Champion at the National 2005 and her 2007 calf ‘Extra Special’ is as his name suggests!

‘Pansy B3’ is sired by ‘Ultimate’ and out of leading female ‘Pansy U18’. She was shown as a calf with considerable success and was sold with her strong heifer calf ‘D7’ at foot who is sired by Panmure 1 Alexander. Two of B3’s maternal sisters have been retained and her full brother ‘Evolution’ is one to watch out for in the future.

SOLPOLL 1 Chieftain

‘Chieftain’ sold for the second top price of 2,100gns at the January Sale 2008. He is a bull with great confirmation and was shown successfully last summer including Junior Champion at the Royal Ulster. His Dam Solpoll 1 Stardust R9 sired by Solpoll 1 Magistrate who had a successful show career including Supreme Champion at Royal Ulster aged 13 months amongst several other breed & interbreed championships. Sired by ‘Vindicator’.

 

SOLPOLL 1 Concorde

‘Concorde’ is a big dark bull with deep hindquarters by ‘Vindicator’ and he sold for 2,000gns at the January Sale. His maternal brother ‘Viceroy’ was used successfully for a season within the herd before being sold on.

SOLPOLL 1 CRACKERJACK

‘Crackerjack’ is a dark bull with plenty of length and thickness who sold for 2,000gns at the January Sale. Again, sired by ‘Vindicator’. He is the fourth calf from ‘Starlet U2’ who is a prolific breeder; her first calf ‘Watchman was Champion & Top Price January Sale 2005 selling to Des Kelly to join his Mullin herd. Her next calf ‘Anchor’ was Reserve Champion April Sale 2006. Her only heifer ‘Starlet B18’ has been retained in the herd and has an attractive ‘Alexander’ heifer calf.

‘Pansy D2’ is a very feminine young heifer with good confirmation and was Female Champion at the January Sale.  She is the first calf from ‘Pansy A19’ who is by ‘Ultimate’. She is also the first heifer calf from ‘Alexander’ and she sold to Nigel Holmes, Holmbrook Herefords, Wolverhampton for 1500gns.
