Calf Show Success!

Solpoll 1 Starlet E4 was Female Champion at the N.I. Calf Show held in Dungannon at the end of September. Her dam is the first daughter of ‘Vindicator’ who calved at 2 years old. ‘Pansy E11’ was Junior Female Champion at the event, she too was sired by ‘Panmure 1 Alexander’. ‘Expert’ continued his show success from the National whenever he again won the Senior Bull Calf class, he is sired by Solpoll 1 Ultimate.

 Awards time!

2008 has been another very successful year and was concluded by the National and NIHBA Awards dinners in October. At the National Awards dinner the results of the National Herd’s competition were announced and we were delighted to be awarded the Runner Up award, which is the highest position a herd from Northern Ireland has ever achieved. We would also like to congratulate the overall winner, George Thorne and family from Wales.

 

One week later at the NIHBA dinner we were delighted to receive a large haul of silverware.

 

Winning the awards for us this year was:

 

Udel 1 R51 Vindicator - Sire of the Year, Sire of 1st placed Group of 3 at National, 1st placed pair at Royal Ulster and National Show

 

Solpoll 1 Stella C16 - Female of the Year, Poll Female of the Year.

 

Solpoll 1 Dynamite - Bull of the Year, Poll Bull of the Year, Champion at the National, Junior Champion at Royal Ulster

 

Solpoll 1 Pansy D2 - Female Champion at January Show and Sale

 

Solpoll 1 Starlet E4 - Female Champion at Calf Show

 

Solpoll 1 Starlet E5 - Calf Champion at National Show, Junior Champion Female at National
